In Miss Milner's math's group we have been learning how to compare numbers up to 20 using the words greater than, less than and equal to. Today we have been using different objects to help us to order these numbers. We used different amounts of objects such as cubes, counters and beads to help us to order three different amounts from greatest to smallest and smallest to the greatest. Firstly we used cubes first to help us make the numbers given to us and then ordered them from greatest to smallest. We then had to use tens frames and counters with a partner to find numbers that were greater and less than the number given. We had to then think of a number that would be smaller than the smallest amount and greater than the greatest amount we had. We were all working really hard. Take a look at our fab number skills! 😊 Today is Odd Socks Day and most of Class one didn't disappoint with their odd socks. There were lots of colours and patterns, all different to support Anti Bullying Week.
We had an exciting visitor in school today. Mrs Hall came from the Dog's Trust to talk to us about how to look after dogs. We learnt 6 rules about how to look after them and what we should do to keep ourselves safe around dogs. We are going to write about when Mrs Hall came to visit to help others to understand how to keep safe. Take a look at our photographs and our super volunteers.
